About the Paper: This paper synthesizes 128 studies on financial crimes in Africa, revealing their rise and significant concern among scholars, governments, and NGOs. The crimes, including cybercrime, bribery, corruption, and trade-based money laundering, are concentrated in regions like Western, Southern, and Eastern Africa, driven by poverty, unemployment, weak regulatory systems, and selfish interests.
